DIALOGIC: Journal of Communication and Human Development is incooperate with Asosiasi Pengelola Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi Indonesia (APJIKI). DIALOGIC: Journal of Communication and Human Development publish twice a year (June and December). Dialogic contains articles derived from research in the field of Communication studies as its focus with a mission to encourage practitioners and academics in developing communication practices and theories.
Article will be reviewed with double-blind peer review. DIALOGIC: Journal of Communication and Human Development will publish selected paper under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 International License Topics within the journal include but not limited to:
1. Communication and Social Change
This area explores the role of communication in initiating, facilitating, and sustaining social change within communities. It emphasizes participatory communication strategies that enable marginalized groups to express their voices, challenge power structures, and drive collective transformation.
2. Communication and Community Empowerment
This focus examines how communication practices and media can empower communities by enhancing their capacity to make informed decisions, organize collective action, and build resilience. It covers strategies that promote local knowledge, self-reliance, and inclusive development.
3. Communication and Sustainable Development
This scope analyzes the interplay between communication and efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It includes research on communication strategies that support environmental sustainability, economic equity, and social justice within development initiatives.
4. CSR Management (Corporate Social Responsibility)
This topic investigates how communication shapes the planning, implementation, and evaluation of corporate social responsibility programs. It includes studies on stakeholder engagement, transparency, and the strategic use of media in aligning corporate values with social and environmental commitments.
5. Development Journalism and Public Relations
This area focuses on the roles of journalism and public relations in framing development narratives and mobilizing public support for policy and social initiatives. It includes ethical reporting, advocacy communication, and the synergy between media institutions and development agendas.
6. Communication and Development Conflict
This scope addresses the role of communication in both triggering and resolving conflicts related to development. It includes peace communication, media framing of disputes, negotiation discourse, and participatory approaches that foster dialogue in conflict-prone settings.
7. Digital Communication for Development
This topic explores the utilization of digital platforms and technologies in advancing development goals. It covers digital inclusion, e-participation, social media for social change, and the challenges of digital inequality in development contexts.
8. Public Service Communication
This area examines how communication enhances the effectiveness and responsiveness of public service delivery. It includes citizen engagement, transparency, digital governance tools, and communication strategies for improving access to public services.
9. Communication and Governance
This scope investigates the dynamic relationship between communication and governance processes at local, national, or global levels. It includes political communication, policy advocacy, civic participation, and the role of media in shaping public accountability and democratic governance.
10. Health communication
Papers on health communication sub-field, such as health campaigns, the organizational strategy on disseminating messages related to health issue to the public, audiences’ perception on health-related media campaigns, and how media organizations cover health topics are strongly encouraged.
11. Environmental communication
We also welcome research papers on the topic of environmental communication, which may include (but not limited to) campaigning strategies on waste reduction, food security promotions, the use of big data to monitor environment degradation, and media representation on environment issues.
